Why does urine split? These are the most likely reasons

Bifurcated urine is a men's disease, which can be divided into two categories: physiological bifurcated urine and pathological bifurcated urine. There are many reasons for this. For example, some men may have bifurcated urine after sexual intercourse or after masturbation, which is physiological. In addition, it may be related to urinary system diseases, which is pathological bifurcated urine, so we must distinguish and treat them differently.

1. Occasional bifurcation of urine is mostly caused by adhesion of the urethra. It can return to normal after flushing with urine flow and is not a symptom. Drinking more boiled water and washing the lower body frequently every day can prevent this phenomenon. Some occupations, such as drivers, computer users, and salesmen, are often too busy to go to the toilet, which can easily cause bifurcation of urine.

Second, bifurcated urination may also occur in the first urination after male ejaculation. The reason is that some semen still remains in the urethra, and the congestion of the corpus cavernosum has not completely disappeared, resulting in a blocked urinary flow. In addition, drinking a lot of alcohol can also cause prostate congestion, blocked urination, and bifurcated urinary flow. These situations are temporary changes in urination, not pathological, and there is no need to worry.

3. The other type is long-term bifurcated urination, which is likely related to some diseases and needs to be treated in time. Long-term bifurcated urination is mostly due to the narrowness of the posterior urethra or urethral opening, or scarring after chronic inflammation, which leads to the inability to discharge urine smoothly. It is common in patients with chronic urethritis (mostly gonococcal). Also, during acute urethritis and prostatitis, due to urethral congestion, swelling, and increased secretions, it can also affect the smoothness of urine and cause bifurcated urination.

4. Bifurcated urine is a symptom of chronic prostatitis. Prostate disease can cause abnormal urination, urine retention, bifurcated urine, swelling and discomfort in the lower abdomen and perineum, and white discharge from the urethra. Patients can come to the hospital for a special prostate fluid routine test and prostate B-ultrasound, and at the same time, the doctor will perform an anal diagnosis to determine whether they have prostatitis.
