Symptoms of male condyloma acuminatum: I didn’t expect it to be so serious

Condyloma acuminatum is a disease that not only occurs in women, but men are also easily infected. After men are infected with condyloma acuminatum, there will be corresponding symptoms in the glans penis, urethra and other parts. If not treated in time, it may cause erosion.

1. When condyloma acuminatum occurs, men often develop it on the glans penis, inner foreskin and other parts of the body.

2. Lesions in the cooler and drier areas of the genitals often appear small and flat, while those in the warmer and moister areas often appear thread-like or papilloma-like, and initially appear as a few tiny pink papules.

3. As the disease worsens, the papules gradually increase in size and number, with an uneven surface, moist and soft, nipple-like in varying sizes, shaped like or fused into large masses with cauliflower-like protrusions, red or dirty gray in color.

4. In severe cases, there is often a stalk at the root, which is prone to erosion and exudation. It is easy to bleed when touched. There is often turbid slurry or purulent secretion in the cracks of skin damage, which emits a foul odor and causes itching. Scratching often causes bacterial secondary infection.

5. Large warts in the rectum can cause a feeling of tenesmus. The incubation period of condyloma acuminatum is 1-6 months, with an average of 3 months. The longest incubation period can be up to one year. The way men get condyloma acuminatum is almost always through sexual contact.

6. Due to local moisture and constant chronic irritation, the warts often grow rapidly. In a very small number of patients, due to untimely treatment, the warts grow very large and become giant warts, which can penetrate deep into the body, produce many wart ducts leading to the urethra, or become cancerous tumors after 5-40 years.

7. The disease is more likely to occur in those with excessive foreskin or excessive leucorrhea. Initially, the warts are millet-sized light red warts, which gradually increase in size and number and become soft. They may be nipple-shaped, mushroom-shaped, or cauliflower-shaped protrusions. Large warts are prone to secondary infection, erosion, pus, bleeding, and a foul odor.
