HPV is the abbreviation of human papillomavirus infection, a small DNA virus with many different types that can cause a variety of papilloma or warts on human skin and mucous membranes. Some types of HPV infection are also potential carcinogens. HPV testing is mainly used to detect whether a person is carrying the HPV virus. It can be tested by staining smear method, HPV DNA test method or serological test to check whether HPV is infected. So how to take samples for male HPV testing?

HPV is human papillomavirus infection, which is mostly transmitted through sexual intercourse. To test whether a man is infected, he needs to take urethral secretions and genital skin samples for examination. If it is positive, it proves that he has been infected. If there are changes in the location of the genitals, it indicates that it is condyloma acuminatum. It is necessary to do photodynamic therapy in the dermatology and venereology department of a reliable hospital, and then apply interferon gel or miquimod ointment to prevent attacks. You can also inject interferon suppositories to enhance immunity or take transfer factor serum or oil orally. You must take the medicine according to the treatment process under the specific guidance of the doctor.

During the treatment period, sexual intercourse is strictly prohibited. If there are no skin symptoms, no medication is needed, but follow-up visits are required every 3 to 6 months.

Indications

The conditions for conducting HPV testing include: superficial inflammation and irregular bleeding on the surface of the vagina; frequent vaginal discharge with a fishy odor, non-menstrual bleeding in the vagina, persistent pain in the sacrum, buttocks and big feet, and urination and defecation obstruction when the bladder and duodenum are invaded.

Clinical manifestations

HPV types 1, 2, and 4 are called warts. They are common warts that can occur anywhere, but are most common on the arms. They are low-risk types.

HPV types 6 and 11 are condyloma acuminatum, with the highest incidence of condyloma acuminatum on genital organs. They often infect private parts, anus, vagina, etc. They are highly infectious and belong to low-risk types. They have no significant relationship with invasive cervical cancer.

Types 16 and 18 are high-risk types that can cause cervical cancer and high-width ratio lesions in cervical epithelial cells.

Standard value reference range

Reproductive system HPV includes HPV6, 11, 42, 43, 44 and other types, which often cause genital condyloma acuminatum and other benign lesions including cervical intracellular lesion of mild (CINI). This type is a low-risk type.

High-risk HPV types include HPV16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 68, etc., which are related to the occurrence of cervical cancer and cervical intracellular high-width ratio dysplasia (CINⅡ/Ⅲ), especially HPV16 and 18.

Anything that does not fall into the above category is considered normal.
