How should allergic rhinitis be treated better?

With the continuous development of society, environmental pollution is becoming increasingly serious. Many people not only suffer from respiratory diseases, but are also prone to rhinitis. There are many types of rhinitis, such as allergic rhinitis, which is more common in life. So how should allergic rhinitis be treated?

Standardized treatment includes:

Avoid contact with allergens, such as dust mites, plant pollen, fungi, pets, etc.; try to quit bad habits such as smoking and drinking; use local nasal sprays, and take antihistamines when symptoms are severe; desensitization treatment can be performed after the allergen is identified; surgical treatment can be performed when drug treatment is ineffective or accompanied by other nasal diseases

Which patients require surgical treatment?

1. Allergic rhinitis is accompanied by nasal polyps and sinusitis. Most patients with allergic rhinitis have enlarged nasal conchae. The enlarged nasal cavity will reduce the nasal space and cause nasal congestion. If accompanied by nasal polyps, sinusitis will aggravate the nasal congestion. Functional endoscopic surgery is recommended. After removing polyps and cleaning the sinuses, auxiliary drug control can be used to improve the condition.

2. Allergic rhinitis accompanied by nasal septum deviation and inferior turbinate hypertrophy. Endoscopic septum correction is minimally invasive. Hypothermia plasma ablation can be performed for inferior turbinate hypertrophy, which is less invasive and has a good effect on nasal congestion.

3. Allergic rhinitis leads to enlarged inferior turbinate and obvious nasal congestion. The medication is ineffective or the patient is unwilling to accept long-term medication treatment. Low-temperature plasma inferior turbinate radiofrequency ablation is minimally invasive and has a great effect on improving nasal congestion.
