What causes itchy ears? How to treat itchy ears

As we all know, there is some secretion in the ear, commonly known as earwax. If there is too much earwax, the ear will feel itchy. At this time, if the earwax is cleaned in time, the ear itching symptoms will be relieved to a certain extent. However, ear itching is not only caused by too much earwax, it may also cause ear inflammation.

How to deal with excessive earwax:

Since the structure of the ear is very complex, using hard objects or ear picks can accidentally hit the eardrum, and some may even puncture the eardrum or damage the internal structure of the ear. Therefore, the ears generally do not need to be cleaned, and the earwax will fall off automatically when we sleep or lie down. Or you can use a cotton swab to clean the ears without damaging the eardrum.

Some people may be more hygienic and feel comfortable cleaning their ears. In fact, you don't need to clean your ears at all, because the ears have a self-cleaning function, and the secretions will naturally fall out of the ears. It is recommended not to clean your ears frequently (usually once every half a month). Hard "earwax" needs to be removed by a doctor.

Ear Inflammation:

It is commonly known as "rotten ears" and is an inflammation of the tympanic membrane. When bacteria enter the tympanic cavity, inflammation occurs when the body's resistance is weakened or bacterial toxins are enhanced. Symptoms include ear pain (worsened at night), fever, chills, bitter taste in the mouth, red or yellow urine, constipation, and hearing loss.

Solution:

If the pus is thick and difficult to wipe out, you can use 3% hydrogen peroxide to clean it, and then use an aspirator to suck it out or wipe it with a cotton swab. You can also take some Chinese medicine or sensitive medicine orally. If the above methods are still ineffective, and the middle ear is found to have granulation or cholesteatoma, surgical treatment should be chosen in time.
