How to check prostatitis, male prostatitis examination method

The prostate is an important part of the male reproductive system. The prostatic fluid secreted by the prostate is the main component of semen. At the same time, the male prostate is also a very vulnerable part. The most common disease is prostatitis. Prostatitis is extremely harmful to male reproductive health. If a man finds that he has a prostate problem, he must check it out in time.

1. Commonly used diagnostic methods

1: B-ultrasound examination shows that the boundaries of the prostate tissue structure are unclear and disordered, which may indicate prostatitis.

2: The main manifestations of urodynamic examination include decreased urine flow rate, incomplete relaxation of the bladder neck-urethral sphincter, and abnormally increased maximum urethral closure pressure.

3: Rectal examination shows that the prostate is full, enlarged, soft and slightly tender. If the disease lasts for a long time, the prostate will become smaller, harder, uneven in texture and have small nodules. At the same time, the prostate massage method should be used to obtain prostate fluid for a routine examination.

4: Prostatic fluid examination If the number of white blood cells in the prostatic fluid exceeds 10 in the high-power field of view of the microscope and the number of lecithin bodies decreases, prostatitis can be diagnosed. If bacterial culture is performed at the same time, a clear diagnosis and classification of chronic prostatitis can be made. If the bacterial culture result of the prostatitis fluid is positive, chronic bacterial prostatitis is diagnosed; otherwise, it is chronic non-bacterial prostatitis.

5: In addition to clinical manifestations, rectal examination can touch the swollen and full prostate, which is obviously tender. When abscess is formed, the two sides of the gland are asymmetrical and may have localized fluctuations. Prostate massage should be avoided in the acute stage to prevent the spread of infection to the epididymis and testicles, or bacteria entering the blood to cause bacteremia. Urethral secretions can be smeared, stained, microscopically examined, and cultured for bacteria. Urine microscopy often shows more red blood cells or piles of pus cells. The first cup of urine in the three-cup test is slightly turbid, and white blood cells can be seen under microscopy. The second cup of urine is clear and has no white blood cells. The third cup of urine is turbid and contains a large number of white blood cells and pus cells.

2. Auxiliary inspection

1: Auxiliary examination of acute prostatitis For patients with the above symptoms, rectal examination is required. The prostate can be felt to be enlarged, with a smooth surface, high tension, and obvious tenderness. Acute prostatitis can only be examined by rectal examination. Do not massage the prostate to prevent the spread of inflammation. Urine examination can show pus cells and red blood cells. B-ultrasound examination is also helpful for diagnosis.

2: Auxiliary examination of chronic prostatitis: For patients with one or more of the above symptoms, rectal digital examination and prostate massage are performed. Urine and prostate fluid segmented culture is also valuable for the diagnosis of chronic prostatitis. In chronic prostatitis, the pH of prostate fluid increases and the zinc content decreases, which is also helpful for diagnosis.
