What diseases are associated with groin dampness and itching?

Some men are often troubled by dampness and itching in the groin. So what diseases are related to dampness and itching in the groin?

1. Scrotal eczema

The term eczema refers to a set of clinical symptoms. The classification of specific diseases is still blind and confusing, and here it refers specifically to eczema on the scrotum.

Acute scrotal eczema is mainly manifested by diffuse redness, swelling, and severe itching of the scrotal skin. Many papules and blisters ranging in size from needles to rice grains may appear at the same time. After scratching or rubbing, the erythema, papules, and blisters rupture, revealing large areas of moist erosion, with a large amount of light yellow slurry exuding, part of which condenses into pairs of light yellow scabs. Generally, after 2-3 weeks, the redness and swelling will be reduced, the exudate will decrease, and it will gradually heal completely, but it is easy to relapse.

A key point of scrotal eczema is severe itching. If there is no severe itching, it can basically be ruled out.

2. Prostatitis

The clinical manifestations of prostatitis are diverse, and may include pain and discomfort in the perineum, suprapubic area, inguinal area, and genitals; urethral symptoms include burning sensation during urination, urgency, frequency, and pain during urination, which may be accompanied by hematuria at the end of urination or purulent urethral discharge; acute infection may be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as chills, fever, and fatigue.

3. Varicose vein

The cause of varicocele is still unknown; however, standing for a long time and constantly increasing the pressure in the abdominal cavity may cause the disease. However, the mechanism of the disease is related to the venous valve in the scrotum. The normal venous valve can prevent blood from flowing back. Because the valve in the patient's scrotum loses its function, blood accumulates in the veins in the scrotum, causing the veins to become larger and varicose, and even emerge under the scrotal skin.
