Scrotal itching

Scrotal itching is a common condition. The key is that it is likely caused by scrotal eczema, which is one of the more common diseases in dermatology. Testicular pain needs to be checked in the hospital. Only after the cause of the pain is established can medication be used for treatment. 1. If it is an infection of the scrotal skin, after the infection is confirmed, anti-infective drugs need to be used, such as topical erythromycin ointment for external application or Bactroban ointment for external application, or oral cefuroxime capsules and ceftriaxone tablets for medication treatment. If necessary, a partial testicular structure examination is required to select appropriate antibacterial drugs for use. 2. If the scrotal pain is caused by acute orchitis or epididymitis, it is recommended to establish an intravenous drip treatment after diagnosis, such as intravenous infusion of cefuroxime sodium for injection, cefoxitin sodium for injection and other drugs for treatment.

If there is testicular torsion, emergency surgery is required immediately to repair the blood supply to the male testicles and eliminate the distortion. The pain in the scrotal area can be relieved instead of requiring drug treatment.

Some bacterial infections can also cause testicular pain. After the diagnosis is confirmed, topical antifungal ointment is needed for treatment, such as topical miconazole ointment or clotrimazole ointment, etc. for further treatment. Bacterial acid-fast staining is required for diagnosis and medication.
