What are the causes of recurrent urethritis and how to cure it?

Reasons why urethritis is prone to recurrence

(1) Drug resistance of pathogenic bacteria. Due to irregular treatment in the early stage of the disease, blind medication, damage to the internal environment, and bacterial resistance, the treatment effect is poor and sometimes gets better and worse, leading to persistent urethritis.

(2) Latent infection. After antibiotic treatment, some microbial urethritis caused by bacteria will enter a latent infection state due to defects in drug efficacy and treatment. Some patients with allergic constitutions have achieved certain therapeutic effects with anti-allergic treatment, indicating that some patients are related to allergic reactions.

How to treat urethritis?

1. Drink plenty of water and replenish enough fluids to increase urine volume so as to flush urethral secretions during urination.

2. Use some sedative, analgesic and anticonvulsant drugs to relieve urethral pain

3. Pay attention to rest. During the acute period, sexual intercourse should be avoided in the short term, otherwise it will prolong the course of the disease.

4. The complete treatment of acute urethritis often adopts the combined use of antibiotics and chemical drugs. Among them, the combined use of norfloxacin and sulfonamides has a good therapeutic effect.

5. Chronic urethritis: If there is stricture in the urethra, in addition to drug treatment, urethral dilation surgery should be considered.
