Where is the bladder meridian located and what are the effects of bladder meridian acupoint massage?

Many people have no idea where the bladder meridian is. This is actually quite normal. The human body has so many organs and acupuncture points. So let me tell you where the bladder meridian is.

Location of the bladder meridian

The bladder meridian starts at the inner corner of the eye (Jingming point), goes up to the forehead, and meets at the top of the head (Baihui point). It has a branch that goes out from the top of the head to the upper corner of the ear. Its straight meridian runs backward from the top of the head to the occipital bone, enters the cranial cavity, connects with the brain, and then goes down to the neck (Tianzhu point), meets at the Dazhui point, and then goes down along the inner side of the shoulder blade, along the sides of the spine, to the waist (Shenyu point), passes through the paraspinal muscles, goes deep into the body cavity, and connects with the kidneys. It belongs to the bladder. Another branch runs from the waist, goes down along both sides of the spine, passes through the buttocks, and goes down from the outer posterior edge of the thigh to the popliteal fossa (Weizhong point). Another branch runs from the neck, goes down through the inner side of the scapula, goes down along the spine from the Fufen point to the hip joint, passes through the outer posterior edge of the thigh to the popliteal fossa to join the previous branch, goes down along the outer posterior edge of the calf, exits behind the outer ankle, goes along the outer edge of the dorsum of the foot to the outer end of the little toe (Zhiyin point), and intersects with the foot Shaoyin kidney meridian.

The health-promoting effects of bladder meridian acupoint massage

In today's society, many people, whether they are old or young, suffer from back pain due to work habits or life habits. Based on the principle of "no pain if the meridians are unobstructed", massaging the bladder meridian can relieve back pain. If there is someone with back pain at home, you might as well give it a try. The simplest way is to rub your hands together to warm them before going to bed, and then rub your hands clockwise on your lower abdomen.

In addition, the bladder meridian can also be massaged through back massage, scraping, pinching the back, stepping on the back, etc. If you have family help, you can use the thumbs and index fingers of both hands to pinch the muscles on both sides of the back spine and push down from a high place as much as possible, all the way to the coccyx, then put your ten fingers together, press the spine up and push back to the starting position, and then repeat. This is not only beneficial for dredging the meridians throughout the body, but is also very beneficial for maintaining the bladder meridian.

Another benefit of massaging the bladder meridian is that it helps the body detoxify. The body itself produces some toxins during operation. In addition, haze and food safety issues are becoming more and more serious. Massaging the bladder meridian can open up the meridians throughout the body, promote collective microcirculation, and help the body detoxify.
