Four most overlooked symptoms of kidney failure

Some kidney problems are difficult to detect. Many patients have already suffered significant damage to their kidneys by the time they discover the problem. Some symptoms of kidney disease are also easily confused with other diseases. Let's take a look at some of the more easily overlooked symptoms of kidney failure.

1. Fatigue and drowsiness

This may be an early sign of kidney problems, but it is most likely to be ignored because there are indeed too many reasons for drowsiness and fatigue. Especially those who "go all out" in their careers often attribute it to work stress and fatigue. If the symptoms improve after a little rest, it is more likely to be ignored.

2. Swelling

This is a phenomenon that is easy to detect. It is caused by the kidneys' inability to clear excess water from the body, which results in fluid retention in the interstitial spaces of the body's tissues. In the early stages, swelling only occurs in the ankles and eyelids, which disappears after rest. If it develops into persistent or systemic swelling, the disease is already serious.

3. Yellowish complexion

This is due to anemia. Since this manifestation occurs and develops very slowly, it will not show obvious "contrast" for a period of time, just as people find it difficult to notice various slowly unfolding changes when they meet in the morning and evening.

4. High blood pressure

Patients with early renal failure will show symptoms of hypertension. Since the kidneys have the function of excreting sodium and water, sodium and water will be retained in the body when the kidney function is damaged. In addition, the kidneys will secrete some substances that increase blood pressure. Therefore, patients with early renal failure will have varying degrees of hypertension. If there is high blood pressure and poor coagulation mechanism, it is easy to cause nose or gum bleeding, which should be paid attention to.

If you experience any of the above symptoms, you should see a doctor as soon as possible!
