What to do if you have penile discharge?

The penis is the most important part of a man's reproductive organ, because it has many functions. In addition to allowing men and women to feel the pleasure of sex, it is also a masculine characteristic that men should be proud of. However, men should not underestimate the problem of the penis, because penis diseases are very difficult to treat and will make most men embarrassed. For example, what should I do if I have penile pus discharge?

The most common cause of penile purulent discharge is prostatitis, which is related to poor hygienic conditions of the perineum or low resistance of the body. Penile purulent discharge, urethral discomfort, urgency and frequency of urination, the urge to urinate again after urinating, and urethral pain during urination, especially the urethral opening is red, swollen, itchy and stinging, and the urethra gradually flows out of yellow-white or milky white turbid mucus and purulent secretions, sometimes with blood. It is considered to be caused by urinary system infection.

It can be caused by sexual intercourse and prepuce that is too long. It can be caused by infection with Staphylococcus, Streptococcus, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans, Trichomonas, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, fungi, Gonorrhea or other bacteria; or due to prepuce that is too long and not cleaned enough, the dirt between the foreskin and the glans, that is, smegma, will accumulate, irritating the local foreskin and mucous membrane to cause inflammation. It is recommended to go to the infectious department for a clear diagnosis to facilitate timely symptomatic treatment.

This situation indicates infection, but the specific pathogen causing the infection is still unclear. Bacterial infection is common, but the drugs to which the bacteria are sensitive still need to be determined through examination. It is recommended to do a bacterial smear test of the secretions to preliminarily determine whether it is gonorrhea. Perform ordinary bacterial culture and gonococcal culture at the same time. If the pathogenic bacteria can be cultured, further drug sensitivity test will be performed, and sensitive antibiotics will be selected for treatment based on the results of the drug sensitivity test. Antibiotics can be used for treatment before the results are available, such as ceftriaxone. Drink plenty of water and keep the genitals clean. Do not have sex for the time being.
