Condyloma acuminatum

It is a sexually transmitted disease that often occurs after sexual contact, but can also be transmitted by indirect contact. Lesions often occur in the foreskin, frenulum, coronal sulcus, glans penis, urethral opening, and perianal area. Initially, they are small, light red papules that gradually increase in size and number, and are papillary, mushroom-like, or cauliflower-like in color. They are grayish white, light yellow, or pink in color, and bleed easily when touched. Lesions can be single or densely clustered. Treatment requires cryotherapy or laser therapy, but it is prone to recurrence.

Balanoposthitis

This is a high incidence disease of the glans and foreskin. Patients often have phimosis or prepuce that is too long. Between the glans and the long foreskin, the shed epithelial cells, glandular secretions and smegma together form a warm and humid environment. Once bacteria enter, it can cause inflammation. It is a non-specific infection. In the early stage of glans and foreskin inflammation, the glans and foreskin surface are edematous and congested, the area around the urethral opening is red, and wounds and erosions appear. It can develop into superficial ulcers with purulent secretions. The patient will feel itching, burning or pain in the glans of the penis.

Candidal balanitis

It manifests as erythema on the glans penis, with small pustules or papules on the surface. It can also manifest as local edema of the glans penis mucosa, mild desquamation at the edges, and papules and pustules that expand to form glans penis erosion. Recurrent candidal glans inflammation can cause local dryness, fibrosis and other changes. The disease is generally treated with topical antifungal ointments, and oral antifungal drugs can also be used in severe cases.
