Normally, semen has a small odor, but if a man has a reproductive system inflammation, the semen will have a stronger odor, which is usually caused by an infection in the reproductive system. Such as prostatitis, glans inflammation or vas deferens infection, and there may be a certain amount of red blood cells, which will have a strong odor. There may also be blood in the semen. Therefore, if the semen has a strong odor, you should go to the hospital for examination. Blood in sperm There is blood mixed in the semen. In severe cases, the blood can be seen with the naked eye, which is called "gross blood-spermia"; in mild cases, the blood cannot be seen with the naked eye, but red blood cells can be seen under a microscope, which is called "submicroscopic hematospermia". Sperm liquefaction syndrome Normal semen is a uniform flowing liquid. If in vitro semen does not liquefy or still contains liquefied agglomerates after 60 minutes at room temperature (22-25 degrees Celsius), it is called "non-liquefaction of semen syndrome", which affects the aggregation or braking of sperm, slowing down or inhibiting the normal movement of sperm. Oligospermia and hyperspermia Generally speaking, a normal sperm count in one semen is between 20 million and 200 million per milliliter. A sperm count below 20 million per milliliter is considered oligospermia, and a sperm count exceeding 300 million per milliliter is considered hyperspermia. Azoospermia Those who do not find sperm in three semen examinations are suffering from azoospermia. Azoospermia is divided into two types: "congenital azoospermia" and "obstructive azoospermia". The former refers to the atrophy and degeneration of testicular spermatogenic cells, which cannot produce sperm; the latter refers to the testicles being able to produce sperm, but the vas deferens being blocked and unable to discharge sperm. Necrozoospermia The survival rate of sperm in semen decreases, and dead sperm exceeding 40% is called necrospermia, also known as hypernecrospermia. However, if the dead sperm increase is caused by improper examination method or failure to collect semen according to normal method, it is called pseudonecrospermia, which must be identified. In addition, men should also pay attention to maintaining the hygiene of their reproductive organs in daily life, especially for those with foreskin that is too long. Because foreskin that is too long can easily lead to urine residue in the foreskin and the breeding of bacteria, on the one hand it can lead to glans inflammation, and on the other hand it is easy to have a strong odor, which is very detrimental to reproductive health. |
