What should I do if there is a red spot on the glans?

Red spots on the glans are a rather troublesome condition, and the diseases that cause this condition are all relatively serious diseases. If not treated in time, it will have a great impact on the male body, so everyone must take it seriously. Many friends may not be very clear about it, so let me introduce it to you now.

Many patients develop erythema or small papules on the glans of the penis and suspect that they have a sexually transmitted disease. When they see a doctor, they find out that it is balanoposthitis (inflammation of the glans). In fact, balanoposthitis is a common disease. Balanoposthitis is divided into balanoposthitis and glansitis. Because they often appear at the same time, it is called balanoposthitis. This inflammation can be infectious or non-infectious. Infectious balanitis is the most common in clinical practice. Infectious balanitis is often caused by unclean sexual intercourse, infection with Candida albicans, Trichomonas, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, Gonorrhea or other bacteria; non-infectious factors are mostly due to excessive foreskin and insufficient cleaning, and the unclean matter between the foreskin and the glans, namely smegma, will accumulate, irritating the local foreskin and mucous membrane to cause inflammation.

Common clinical types of balanitis include the following, and their symptoms:

(1) Acute superficial balanoposthitis is characterized by local redness at the onset, redness and swelling of the penis skin, and a burning and itching sensation at the glans. When the foreskin is turned back, the inner surface of the foreskin and the glans can be seen to be congested and eroded, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers can be seen, with foul-smelling milky white purulent secretions. If rubbed against underwear, it will cause pain, and the patient often has difficulty in moving. It may be accompanied by enlargement and tenderness of the inguinal lymph nodes.

(2) Annular ulcerated balanoposthitis: Red spots can be seen on the glans and foreskin, which gradually expand and become ring-shaped, and may form superficial ulcers.

The above is what the editor introduced. Do you have a very clear understanding of this situation? In fact, there are many ways to treat this situation, so don’t worry too much. You must maintain a good attitude and pay more attention to your own living hygiene habits.
