If the surface of the testicle is not smooth, you need to be alert to testicular microlithiasis. This disease will cause many calcified lesions with a diameter of less than 3 mm in the testicular seminiferous tubules. After the disease occurs, you can feel that the surface of the testicle is not smooth when you touch the testicles. Although this disease is rare, once it occurs, it will affect the male reproductive health. Testicular microlithiasis can be diagnosed by ultrasound examination. This disease is mostly caused by tiny deposits inside the seminiferous tubules. Epithelial cells of the seminiferous tubules fall off and fall into the lumen to form stones, blocking 30%-60% of the seminiferous tubules. The core of the stone is a calcified mass, and the lamellar structure surrounding the center is composed of collagen fibers. The diameter of each microlith is about 50um-350um. Testicular microlithiasis is a very rare testicular disease, and its pathological mechanism is still unclear. It is believed that testicular microlithiasis is related to the shedding of epithelial cells falling into the seminiferous tubules. Glycoproteins and calcium salts are layered in annular shapes and gradually deposited on the debris to form concentric circles. Biological examinations of the testicles, inguinal and retroperitoneal lymph nodes, and tumors should be performed to exclude testicular tumors, and regular ultrasound examinations should be performed. Ultrasound examination can diagnose this disease. High-frequency ultrasound plays an important role in diagnosis. Its repeatability and non-invasiveness are superior in follow-up, providing more accurate and specific information for clinical practice, and have important diagnostic value. Color Doppler examination can also diagnose this disease by understanding the blood flow of the testicles and spermatic cord. Testicular microlithiasis generally does not require treatment. Because people with testicular microlithiasis have a high risk of primary testicular tumors, regular ultrasound examinations are required. Generally, testicular microlithiasis should be examined by ultrasound once every 6-12 months. In fact, testicular microlithiasis can be completely prevented. For example, cryptorchidism should be corrected in time, and if there is non-gonococcal infection or mumps, it should be actively treated. You should also have a male physical examination once a year. Insist on taking fresh fruits and vegetables every day, and pay attention to eating more fungi rich in nucleotides and amino acids. Eating garlic helps prevent urogenital system inflammation. |
