What are the symptoms of chronic prostatitis?

When chronic prostatitis occurs, it will stimulate the bladder and produce some common symptoms. For example, you will often feel the urge to urinate, but not much urine can come out. You may also feel urethral pain when urinating. In the morning, you may find some secretions at the urethral opening. These are all caused by chronic prostatitis. Next, follow the editor to look at the specific symptoms of this disease.

1. Urinary discomfort

Bladder irritation symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination, burning and pain in the urethra during urination, which may radiate to the glans penis. In the early morning, there may be mucus and other secretions at the urethra, and there may also be a feeling of difficulty in urination.

2. Local symptoms

Distension and discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus, which is aggravated by squatting, defecation and sitting on a chair for a long time.

3. Radiating pain

The pain of prostatitis is not limited to the urethra and perineum, but also radiates to the vicinity, with lower back pain being the most common. In addition, the penis, spermatic cord, testicles and scrotum, lower abdomen, groin area, thighs, rectum, etc. can all be affected. It should be pointed out that the lower back pain caused by prostatitis is in the lower back, which is easy to confuse with the lower back pain caused by orthopedics such as myofasciitis and lumbar muscle strain, but the latter is mostly near the beltline, which is higher than the lower back pain caused by prostatitis and can be distinguished.

4. Sexual dysfunction

Prostatitis can cause loss of libido, painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, and affect the quality of semen. White discharge from the urethra may occur after urination or defecation, and hematospermia may occur when combined with seminal vesiculitis.

5. Other symptoms

Prostatitis may be combined with neurasthenia, manifested by fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, etc. Long-term persistent prostatitis may even cause allergic reactions in the body, resulting in conjunctivitis, arthritis and other lesions.

Some of the above symptoms are symptoms of chronic prostatitis, but they are not very comprehensive. Clinically, some patients will also suffer from neurasthenia after developing this disease. Some patients may also have conjunctivitis or arthritis and other lesions after developing this disease. Therefore, this disease is absolutely not to be underestimated by male friends.
