What to do if the foreskin is too long and inflamed

Phimosis is a common problem among men. It should be improved in time after it occurs, otherwise it will cause various problems in the body. The most common one is inflammation of the foreskin, which is very harmful to the male body and has many effects on the reproductive organs. So what should we do if the foreskin is inflamed? Treatment is the best choice. The common treatment method is surgery, which is very helpful in alleviating this situation.

What to do if the foreskin is too long and inflamed:

After multiple healings, scar hyperplasia occurs, which eventually leads to inflammatory thickening of the inner plate of the foreskin or adhesion to the glans skin, and the formation of a hypertrophic narrow ring at the foreskin opening. When the penis is erect, the glans is pulled backwards, causing erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and other sexual dysfunctions.

The cause of balanitis is related to excessive foreskin, smegma irritation, local physical and chemical factors and various infections. In recent years, the number of adult balanitis patients has increased significantly, which is related to people's open sexual concepts, increased extramarital sexual behavior, and abuse of various cleaning agents. After having unclean sexual behavior, the chance of various infections increases. In order to avoid contracting sexually transmitted diseases, people often use some external disinfectant and anti-inflammatory cleaning agents to clean and disinfect the vulva.

In order to thoroughly disinfect, some people directly and repeatedly apply the original cleaning solution that is not diluted according to a certain ratio to the foreskin and glans skin of the penis. In this way, the local skin is strongly chemically stimulated, red and swollen, and exudates, resulting in acute inflammation. If the acute inflammation is not properly handled and recurs repeatedly, it may eventually develop into chronic balanitis.

Chronic balanitis, after repeated attacks and treatments, leads to varying degrees of thickening of the inner foreskin and narrowing of the foreskin opening. According to the different degrees of narrowness of the foreskin opening, it can be divided into three categories:

Mild: The foreskin can be turned up to the coronal sulcus, but it obviously becomes a cord tightening the penis.

Moderate: The foreskin opening is obviously narrow. The opening diameter is about 0.8 to 1.2 cm, the edges are thickened, and it cannot be turned up to the coronal sulcus. The external urethral opening can be seen.

Severe: The foreskin opening is less than 0.8cm. Sometimes it is so small that urination is significantly affected, the urine stream is thin, and the urination time is prolonged. The foreskin opening is often red and swollen, causing urination pain. There is often extensive adhesion between the inner plate of the foreskin and the skin of the glans penis.

Chronic balanitis can have varying degrees of impact on sexual function. In the early stages, it is mostly painful during intercourse. After intercourse, tiny cracks and slight swelling and pain appear on the skin of the inner layer of the foreskin and the foreskin opening. After external disinfectant washes and anti-inflammatory treatment, the inflammation subsides and the wounds heal, but there will be an obvious tendency to scar. This recurring process leads to hyperplasia, hypertrophy and scarring of the skin of the inner layer of the foreskin and the foreskin opening. The scar shrinks and the foreskin opening becomes narrow. When the penis is erect, the glans is pulled backward and compressed, causing erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation and other sexual dysfunctions, and even inability to complete sexual intercourse due to erectile dysfunction. This further affects the patient's physical and mental health and the relationship between the couple.

After understanding what to do if the foreskin becomes inflamed, you can improve the foreskin according to your own specific situation. However, when treating the foreskin, men must actively cooperate and pay attention to their diet. Spicy and greasy foods should not be chosen at this time, and alcohol should not be drunk. This will not help treat your own problems.
