I suddenly felt a dull pain in one of my testicles.

I suddenly felt a dull pain in one of my testicles.

When any symptom occurs, the most important question we are concerned about is whether the symptom can be cured. The most common one is testicular pain in men. This condition occurs very frequently, and in some cases, the pain disappears after a while. Therefore, although testicular pain makes many male friends very embarrassed and uncomfortable, it will not make male friends feel anxious because the pain will disappear on its own.

What is the reason for the sudden pain in one testicle?

One side of the testicle may be caused by varicose veins, epididymitis, male testicular hydrocele, etc., and it may also be caused by prostatitis. This symptom is relatively typical, and the patient can touch the varicose veins on the male testicle. Patients with epididymitis feel more pain when touched, and male testicle hydrocele can feel fluctuations when touched. Patients with prostatitis also have abnormal urination. It is recommended to go to the hospital for an outpatient testicular and epididymal B-ultrasound and a routine semen examination to help confirm the condition.

What are the causes of testicular pain:

1. Inflammation

Orchitis is a common cause of testicular pain. There are many causes of orchitis, such as patients with influenza and mumps, who may have orchitis, testicular pain and swelling; gonorrhea is a reproductive tract infection with a high prevalence at this stage, which can cause orchitis in severe cases, testicular pain and swelling; chronic prostatitis can also cause testicular pain, which is mainly manifested as unilateral pain, often dull pain or extension pain, which is persistent. Optical microscopic examination of semen can show a large number of white blood cells. Patients are mostly young people, and rarely in the elderly.

2. Distorted male testicles

Twisting of the scrotum is one of the common diseases in the scrotum. It can occur in newborns to 70-year-olds, and 65% occur between 12 and 19 years old. Generally, there is strong activity a few hours before the onset of the disease, or the male testicles are subjected to external forces. The sudden occurrence of severe pain in the male testicles during sleep quality or quiet time is the first symptom of the disease and one of the key diagnostic evidences. Some cases are accompanied by nausea, dry mouth, testicular swelling, and obvious dull pain.

3. Damage

The male testicles are very active in the scrotum and are protected by a strong white membrane, so they are less likely to suffer traumatic injuries. Testicular injuries are mostly related to explosions, car accidents, etc. After injury, male testicles experience severe pain accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and even fainting or shock. During routine physical examinations, if the testicles are enlarged, the contours are unclear, or there is congestion in the scrotum, and the tenderness is significant, B-ultrasound and CT are not only helpful for the diagnosis of the disease, but also can determine the location and extent of testicular injury.

4. Ischemic

Male testicular ischemic pain is common in the elderly. The pain is more severe, aggravated by activity, and relieved by rest. Semen microscopy is normal. It is often due to sclerosis of the male testicular artery, resulting in aortic stenosis. Atherosclerosis of the male testicular aorta is usually a partial manifestation of systemic vascular disease, and is more common on one side, more common on the left than on the right.

Generally speaking, testicular pain is more common in the following situations:

1. Subacute pain.

This type of pain is mainly caused by the fact that after a man is sexually excited, the sperm is immature and cannot be discharged immediately, which is a subacute pain. Generally, it can be cured by itself. In addition, short-term pain may also occur after collision or friction, which can also be cured by itself.

2. Chronic pain.

This condition is more complicated. It is usually caused by some disease, such as common epididymitis, prostatitis, varicose veins, etc. After this condition occurs, it is very harmful to men's health, and the pain is not easy to subside on its own. Therefore, it is recommended that everyone must pay attention to it and cooperate closely with the doctor to receive treatment.
