How to check sperm survival rate

1. Look at the sperm survival rate: In the past, the sperm survival rate was required to be above 60%. A year ago, the World Health Organization set the standard at above 40%. The standard is getting lower and lower.

2. Look at the vitality of sperm: vitality refers to the ability of sperm to move, including fast linear movement (i.e. A grade) and slow linear movement (i.e. B grade). In the past, the standard for fast linear movement A grade sperm was required to be greater than 25%, and A+B greater than 35%. This was the standard a few years ago; currently, A+B greater than 32% is sufficient.

3. Look at the sperm morphology: Normal sperm morphology requires more than 30%, and later it was required to be more than 15%. A year ago, the standard set by the World Health Organization was that a normal morphology of more than 4% would be enough. This standard is also getting lower and lower.
