The causes of pain are similar to those of women, mainly due to endocrine disorders caused by liver disease or medication, which cause imbalances in hormone concentrations in the blood, leading to breast hyperplasia. In the early stages of the disease, one or both breasts of men will rapidly enlarge, accompanied by local pain and swelling, and X-rays show glandular tissue distribution.
