Why does water come out of semen?

Why does water come out of semen?

Some people will clean their underwear after spermatorrhea, but they will find that the sperm on the underwear is very thin, and they will worry that their sperm is unhealthy. Normal semen is milky white and viscous. Men should go to the hospital for examination and treatment to rule out pathological factors. At the same time, if it is too frequent, it will also cause the semen to be too thin, which should attract everyone's attention. So, why does spermatorrhea come out as water?

1. Differential diagnosis

Low semen volume: Normal men discharge 2 to 6 ml of semen each time they ejaculate. When the semen volume is less than 2 ml, it can be confirmed as low semen volume. However, it should be noted that low semen volume does not mean low sperm count.

Decreased sperm quality: Decreased sperm quality refers to a decrease in the number, survival rate, motility, and density of sperm at the same volume level.

1. If a man abstains from sex for 3 to 7 days and his semen is routinely analyzed more than 3 times, and the sperm density is less than 20 million and no cause can be found, it can be considered idiopathic oligospermia. When the sperm density is 110/mL, it can be diagnosed as severe oligospermia.

2. The cause of oligospermia can be found by asking about medical history, physical examination and other laboratory auxiliary examinations (genetic examination, endocrine hormone measurement, microbiological examination, antisperm antibodies, trace element measurement, etc.). When semen analysis shows oligospermia and accompanied by the disease cause of oligospermia, it can be diagnosed as secondary oligospermia.

The presence of cryptic testis and varicocele can be initially determined based on medical history and physical examination.

Reproductive system inflammation can be confirmed based on frequent urination, urgency, pain, burning sensation in the urethra, purulent discharge from the external urethral orifice, pus cell increase in urine examination, white blood cell count greater than 10/HP in prostatic fluid examination, and urine culture.

Immunological examination can determine whether there is autoimmunity, and chromosome karyotype analysis can determine whether there is chromosomal abnormality. Measuring serum FSH, LH, T, and PRL is also an important method for oligospermia examination. If FSH and LH are lower than normal, it is secondary oligospermia, and elevated PRL is oligospermia caused by hyperprolactinemia.

2. Relief Methods

1. Change bad habits, quit smoking and drinking; don't eat too greasy food; and avoid contact with toxic items in daily life. There are also some common sense to pay attention to, such as it is best to put the clothes brought back from the dry cleaners for a few days before wearing them, because dry cleaning agents can affect men's sexual function.

2. Develop good personal hygiene habits to prevent various infectious diseases that endanger male fertility, such as mumps and sexually transmitted diseases.

3. The testicle is a very delicate organ, and its optimal working temperature is about 1 degree lower than the human body temperature. If the temperature is high, it will affect the production of sperm, so any factors that can increase the temperature of the testicle should be avoided, such as long-term cycling, hot baths, wearing jeans, etc.

4. You need to master certain sexual knowledge and understand male physiological characteristics and health care knowledge. If you find that your testicles have changes that are different from usual, such as swelling, hardening, unevenness, pain, etc., you must seek medical treatment in time.
