Why does glansitis always recur?

Many male friends go to the hospital for treatment of glansitis. After the treatment, they think that everything is fine. However, after a period of time, they will find that the glansitis has recurred and their glans is still very itchy. In fact, treatment is only the first step in the prevention of glansitis. What is more important is to pay attention to your hygiene and health in daily life. You should pay attention to your diet and avoid spicy and greasy food. So, why does glansitis always recur?

1. Mistakenly mistaking it for a sexually transmitted disease and mistreating it. When glansitis occurs, most patients think it is a sexually transmitted disease and use external disinfectant and anti-inflammatory cleaners on their own. This causes strong chemical stimulation to the local skin, resulting in redness and swelling, exudation, and aggravated inflammatory reactions, which can eventually lead to chronic glansitis. In addition, some doctors with poor diagnostic skills or intentionally treat it as a sexually transmitted disease for profit reasons, causing great physical and financial harm to patients.

2. Factors such as prepuce being too long are easily overlooked. Prepuce being too long is also an important factor in the onset and recurrence of balanoposthitis. If prepuce is not treated, bacteria and inflammatory secretions can easily hide in the prepuce and directly act on the lesion site or new tissue structure, aggravating the condition or causing lesions. Therefore, if prepuce is too long, it needs to be treated early.

3. Injury caused by masturbation: Young people have strong sexual desire and often masturbate. Sometimes masturbation is too rough, which can cause varying degrees of foreskin damage. Because of the high excitement during masturbation, the damage is relatively small and may not be noticed, but the wound on the foreskin is very susceptible to bacterial contamination, thus inducing repeated attacks of glans inflammation.

4. Irregular traditional treatments have limited effects. Experts point out that irregular clinical treatments lead to repeated attacks of the disease. At the same time, due to the long course of balanitis, irregular use and abuse of antibiotics, and the easy development of drug resistance by bacteria, traditional treatments cannot achieve the desired effect. Long-term chronic inflammation affects urinary and reproductive health, resulting in prostatitis, impotence, premature ejaculation and other diseases.
