Annular erosive glans

These erythema will gradually expand to form rings or multiple rings, and slowly develop into superficial ulcers. If secondary infection occurs, the symptoms will worsen.

Candidal balanitis

Candidal glansitis is also called fungal glansitis. It is a glans inflammation caused by Candida albicans. In the early stage of the disease, the glans will appear erythematous, and the surface will be smooth, and there will be slight desquamation at the edge. At the same time, it will be accompanied by satellite-shaped papules and small pustules.

Symptoms of fungal glansitis

Symptom 1

When fungal glansitis occurs, the foreskin and glans of the penis will become red and the surface will be relatively smooth. White dirt like tofu residue will appear on the inner plate of the foreskin and the glans coronal sulcus. If the inflammation involves the scrotum, an erythematous rash will appear on the contact surface with the penis, accompanied by obvious itching. When the urethra is involved, frequent urination and urgency will also occur. A very small number of patients will develop acute edema-type foreskin glansitis.

Symptom 2

Patients with fungal glansitis will have erythema on the glans, with small pustules or papules on the surface of the erythema. Sometimes the glans mucosa will also have local edema, and the edges will have mild desquamation. The papules and pustules will also spread to the surrounding area, forming glans erosion. If fungal glansitis recurs, it will also cause local cracking and fibrosis of the glans.
