Red pimples on the penis

Red pimples on the penis

Among all male diseases, the incidence of urinary system diseases and urogenital system diseases is the highest, and they are also very easy to relapse, causing great trouble to patients. Some men have red pimples on their penis. So, what is the reason for red pimples on the penis?

The most common cause of bright red pimples on the penis is folliculitis, which is an inflammation caused by Staphylococcus aureus infecting the hair follicles. Pubic hair is attached to the skin of the female vulva from the mons pubis to the outside of the labia majora. In daily life, because the vulva is easily contaminated by urine, excrement and secretions, the skin of the vulva is often in a humid and cold environment, which is very suitable for the growth and development of bacteria. The disease is more common on the head, neck, buttocks, around the anus or other parts of the body, and has a tendency to relapse, often occurring in several places, and is difficult to eliminate and cannot be cured after a long period of treatment.

In addition, the level of estrogen in menopausal women decreases, which leads to a decrease in the immunity of the vulvar skin and mucous membranes. Therefore, if menopausal women do not pay attention to the environmental hygiene of their vulva or have abrasions on the vulvar skin, the hair follicles and surrounding tissues at that point are easily infected by bacteria, which in turn causes vulvar folliculitis. In the early stages of this disease, the infected hair follicles and the surrounding areas may experience pain, redness of the skin, and other symptoms. As the disease progresses, the infected hair follicles may gradually develop reddish pustules around them, which are painful to touch.

A hair may come out from the top of the pustules (if there is pus, a white spot may appear at the top of the pustules). Sometimes there is only one hair follicle that is infected, and sometimes there are several. If the inflammation worsens, the infected hair follicles may develop into sores.
