Men have lumps under their nipples

Men also have nipples, but they are not as big as women's. Moreover, men's nipples and breasts do not have the function of breastfeeding. Therefore, most men ignore their nipples. However, some men may have lumps under their nipples, which may be caused by breast inflammation. Don't ignore breast diseases just because you are a man. Let's see what causes lumps under men's nipples.

Some boys have both male and female hormones growing in their bodies during development, and the nipples will also start to grow under the influence of female hormones, but don't worry, it will disappear naturally after half a year or a year, proving that it is developing. Of course, it may also be the hyperplasia of some other subcutaneous tissues.

Some teenagers have small, pointed nipples that are developing. This is the case with some teenagers. Don't be impatient and wait for the nipples to fully develop. The lumps will disappear. They will only be fully developed after the age of 25. It's nothing to worry about because of sweating.

You can read the information

Breast lumps during male puberty are normal physiological changes. Breasts are mainly composed of mammary tissue, fat and connective tissue. There are special structures on the surface of mammary cells that can recognize and accept estrogen.

After the cell receptors bind, the metabolism of the breast cells becomes active, causing breast cells to proliferate and the breasts to develop and bulge. After male adolescents enter puberty, the testicles secrete a small amount of estrogen while producing androgen, of course, the content is very small. Estrogen causes the breast cells in the nipple area to proliferate continuously, causing the formation of lumps in the breast. Breast lumps in adolescent boys are often limited to the bottom of the nipple, and sometimes they may be painful to touch. According to surveys, among male adolescents aged 13-15, 1/3-2/3 of them have one or both nipples protruding, the diameter of the areola has increased, and there is pigmentation, but less than 1/5 of them have breast lumps. Some boys do not care about the minor changes that happen to them and may not even notice the changes in their breasts. Since the increase in estrogen during puberty is temporary, these breast lumps usually disappear on their own after a few months to a year. Therefore, neither boys nor parents need to feel embarrassed or uneasy.
