Male hypothyroidism, these symptoms tell you!

Hypothyroidism is now considered a common disease, and it is gradually becoming regionalized. Medical experts have studied and believed that men suffering from hypothyroidism are mostly related to the fast-paced modern life, and it is likely caused by excessive physical stress. So, what are the clinical symptoms of male hypothyroidism?

1. Loss of appetite

Patients may experience loss of appetite, constipation, abdominal distension, and even paralytic intestinal obstruction, which are early symptoms of hypothyroidism. They may also experience joint pain, poor mobility, stiffness, and worsening symptoms after exposure to cold, similar to chronic arthritis. Occasionally, joint effusion is a symptom of hypothyroidism.

2. Decreased sexual desire

Male patients may suffer from impotence, while female patients may experience galactorrhea, irregular menstruation or amenorrhea, infertility and other symptoms of hypothyroidism with reduced metabolism. Adrenal cortex function is low, and blood and urine cortisol levels are reduced.

3. The early symptoms of hypothyroidism include

Fear of cold, dry skin with little sweat, thick, yellowing, coolness, sparse and dry hair, brittle and cracked nails, fatigue, drowsiness, poor memory, intellectual impairment, slow reaction, mild anemia, and weight gain.

4. Pale and yellowish face

Symptoms of hypothyroidism include puffy face, dull eyes, swollen eyelids, apathetic expression, difficulty in opening eyes, thick lips and large tongue, speaking less, hoarse voice when speaking, and slurred speech.
