How to make red bean and black rice porridge, its efficacy and precautions

In summer, I generally don’t like to eat dry and hard breakfast in the morning. On the contrary, I prefer to eat porridge and soup for breakfast. So how do I make the red bean and black rice porridge that I often eat?

200g black rice 100g red beans

Method 1

1. Wash red beans and black rice, and soak them in clean water for more than 12 hours in advance.

2. When cooking porridge, soak the black rice in water for one day and night in summer and two days and nights in winter. Wash it less frequently and cook the water used to soak the rice together with the rice to preserve its nutrients.

3. Pour the soaking water into the pot, put the soaked black rice and red beans into the pot and boil over high heat.

4. After boiling over high heat, turn to low heat and simmer until the red beans are slightly bloomed and soft.

5. Finally, add appropriate amount of rock sugar according to personal taste and turn off the heat after the rock sugar melts.

6. Red beans, called "adzuki beans" in traditional Chinese medicine, also have obvious diuretic, anti-edema, and spleen and stomach strengthening effects. Because it is red, and red enters the heart, it can also nourish the heart.

1. Soak pinto beans in soy milk cup

2 Pour the pinto beans into the pressure cooker

3. Wash the black rice thoroughly

4 Pour the black rice into the pot

5 Add appropriate amount of water

6 Cover the pot, turn on the power and set the time to about 15 minutes.

7 The green light indicates that the food is ready. You can keep it warm for 5 minutes.

8 Open the lid and see the warm porridge

9 Pour into a bowl, add appropriate amount of sugar and you can enjoy the delicious porridge.

Tips

Before making porridge, you must soak the beans or rice in advance, so that the porridge will be softer. The ratio of porridge to water should be controlled well.

Don't add too much water, just enough to cover the rice. This will make the porridge thicker.
