Rheumatoid arthritis is a common and familiar disease in life. Many people or their friends have encountered it. So what are the traditional Chinese medicine treatments for rheumatoid arthritis?

1. Electroacupuncture:

Electroacupuncture is a method of treating diseases by stimulating acupuncture points with tiny electric current waves from the human body's bioelectricity after needles are inserted into acupoints to obtain qi.

2. Fire needle:

Fire needle therapy is a method of treating diseases by stimulating certain acupuncture points and parts after burning needles. Cai Jingjing et al. used fire needle acupuncture combined with drugs to treat rheumatoid arthritis, mainly using the local Ah Shi points of the joints, combined with Jiaji points. First, the small joints were punctured, then the large joints, and finally the Jiaji points. It was found that the effective rate of the observation group was 93%, and the recurrence rate was 12%; the effective rate of the control group was 73%, and the recurrence rate was 22%. The improvement of erythrocyte sedimentation rate and C-reactive protein in the observation group was significantly better than that in the control group.

3. Moxibustion:

Moxibustion is a method of treatment in which moxa or other materials are placed on the skin of acupoints and burned to stimulate the acupoints or specific parts of the human body. It has the effects of warming and dispersing cold pathogens, warming and unblocking meridians, and activating blood circulation and removing numbness.

4. Fumigation therapy:

Chinese herbal fumigation therapy is based on the principle of syndrome differentiation and treatment in traditional Chinese medicine. According to the needs of disease treatment, a certain amount of Chinese herbal fumigation prescription is selected to achieve the purpose of fumigation and fumigation. It is one of the most commonly used traditional external treatment methods in traditional Chinese medicine.

5. Patching therapy:

Chinese medicine patch is a method of applying Chinese medicine paste or powder to a certain part of the body to treat diseases, so that the active ingredients of the medicine can penetrate into the skin and flesh. In clinical practice, Chinese medicine patch is often used to treat rheumatoid arthritis based on syndrome differentiation and the application of compound preparations with different effects can achieve better therapeutic effects.

Acupoint injection refers to the method of treating diseases by injecting drugs into relevant acupoints. Cai Mingming et al. observed 43 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and pain in the hand joints. They added acupoint injection of Danshen frozen powder injection to the original oral Chinese medicine or Western medicine treatment plan. The main acupoints were Zusanli and Sanyinjiao, and the local acupoints were Waiguan and Baxie, according to the conventional acupoint selection method.

7. Acupoint thread embedding:

Acupoint catgut implantation is a method of treating diseases by embedding catguts into acupoints and using the continuous stimulation of catguts on acupoints. Gao Derong et al. used Lu's catgut implantation to treat rheumatoid arthritis. The main acupoints were from Dazhui of the Du meridian to Changqiang acupoint, Huatuo Jiaji acupoints on both sides, Hegu through Laogong, Taichong through Yongquan, Jianshi, Shousanli, Waiguan, Yangchi, Yanglao, Houxi through Zhongzhu on the upper limbs, and Huantiao, Fengshi, Futu, Heding, Weizhong, Yanglingquan, Yinlingquan, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, Taixi, Xuanzhong, Kunlun, Jiexi and Ashi acupoints on the lower limbs.

8. Bee stings:
