Some patients will also have local congestion, but it will not be obvious after their injuries heal. Most of the symptoms of local congestion are caused by direct violence, especially when the coccyx sits directly on the ground after we fall, or when it is caused by a direct impact from a hard object on the ground.

2. Treatment Methods

If it is in the acute stage, you must rest in bed for five days. Get out of bed and move around. If you need to sit, put some inflatables or sponge pads on the seat. For chronic patients, you can use physical therapy, sitz baths, etc., and do not press on the affected area. Severe cases can use sacral canal closure therapy.

Postoperative treatment: follow the routine postoperative treatment of anorectal surgery, mainly to prevent wound contamination and infection, and pay attention to controlling diet. In addition to the residual pain in the tail, most of the prognosis is good; but in the case of open, accompanied by infection or levator ani muscle damage, the prognosis is affected.
