Are testicular abnormalities dangerous?

Testicular abnormality refers to abnormal development of the testicles. This abnormality often includes testicular agenesis, monotestis, polytestis, and orchitis. Testicular abnormalities are mostly caused by chromosome abnormalities, and the incidence rate is relatively high now. They are usually discovered after boys enter puberty. So what are the dangers of testicular abnormalities? Let's learn about it together!

Boys with this disease usually develop normally at birth. Symptoms usually appear in adolescence or adulthood. They are tall, with finger span (the distance between the middle fingers of both hands) greater than their height, slender limbs, delicate skin, abundant subcutaneous fat, a high-pitched voice, often without Adam's apple, lack of or sparse beard, and pubic hair distributed in an inverted triangle. 25% of patients have feminine breasts, small or normal penis, small and hard testicles, and few or no sperm. Androgen treatment during the development period can promote the development of sexual organs and secondary sexual characteristics. Patients can get married, but most are infertile.

The general cause is due to chromosome aberration. In many patients, some relatively normal children have more X chromosomes. However, if there are more of these chromosomes, the mental retardation of the patient may become more serious, which may lead to some male dysfunction. In other words, testicular dysplasia can cause male infertility, which is one of the hazards of testicular dysplasia.

Testicular dysplasia causes the lack of obvious secondary sexual characteristics. After adulthood, the penis is small or normal, the testicles are small and hard, the sperm is few or absent, and the libido is low. Due to the low sperm count or reduced sperm motility, most people are infertile after marriage.

Through the introduction of the above content, I believe that friends have a more comprehensive understanding of the harm of testicular abnormalities. Testicles are a very important component of the male reproductive system. Testicular abnormalities will directly lead to fewer sperm and lower survival rates in male friends, thus affecting normal fertility. It can be seen that testicular abnormalities are very harmful to men.
