What are the methods for examining soft tissue damage?

I have been injured frequently since I was a child, so I am a little nervous when I see this topic. In fact, a series of muscle, bone, and blood vessel injuries caused by various injuries or chronic fatigue or one's own diseases are all soft tissue injuries. The common ones are just sprains or abrasions that we accidentally cause, but if they are serious, there will be many terrible symptoms, and there are also several causes, so let's learn about them together.

The main categories of soft tissue injuries are: sprains, contusions, and crush injuries. There are acute tendon injuries and chronic tendon injuries. There are open injuries and closed injuries, etc.

The size, shape, bleeding, degree and range of the wound, whether there are ecchymoses or blisters on the skin, whether there is any change in skin temperature, the circulation of the finger (toe) tips, whether there is ischemic necrosis of the muscles, whether the injured limb is swollen, whether the skin is tense and hard, whether the injured limb can move, and whether there is any sensory impairment.

Clinical symptoms

1. Pain: It is related to the nature and degree of violence, the distribution of nerves in the injured area, and the intensity of the inflammatory response.

2. Swelling: caused by bleeding in local soft tissue or (and) inflammatory reaction exudation.

3. Functional disorder: causing impairment of limb function or activity.

4. Wounds or cuts: Depending on the nature and degree of violence of the injury, there may be wounds of varying depths or skin abrasions.

Check

In addition to general visible symptoms, patients with severe injuries (including crush injuries) or severe systemic symptoms should have their blood and urine checked daily, record urine volume, and, when necessary, undergo blood and urine biochemical tests (including myoglobin), electrocardiograms, and renal function tests. Patients without external injuries can be given B-ultrasound and X-ray examinations.

Suggested items to check:

CT scan of bones, joints and soft tissues, plain radiographs of bones and joints of the limbs, urine routine, blood routine, biochemical examination, electrocardiogram, renal function test

1. Inquire in detail about the time, cause and condition of the injury, whether it is a crush injury, whether the patient has urinary retention, oliguria or hematuria after the injury; what kind of treatment has been received and how effective it was.

2. Pay attention to whether there is shock or damage to other parts of the body, and whether there is crush syndrome (acute renal failure characterized by swelling of the limbs or trunk, myoglobinuria and high blood potassium).

Now it seems that soft tissue damage can also cause many bad diseases, so everyone should be more careful not to hurt their hands in daily life. If you are injured, quickly follow our examination method to check whether it is serious. If a serious situation occurs, it is the most correct thing to see a doctor in time.
