What does sperm liquefaction mean?

What does sperm liquefaction mean? Normally, the semen ejaculated by men is in liquid state, but it will condense into a jelly state after ejaculation. After 10 to 30 minutes, it will evaporate into a water-based liquid. This is the whole process of sperm liquefaction. If the semen does not liquefy or evaporates incompletely, it will affect the probability of pregnancy.

What does sperm liquefaction mean?

Under normal circumstances, a man's semen is in a vaporized state shortly after being ejaculated, and in a very short time, it will condense into a jelly or clot. After about 10-30 minutes, the semen will evaporate into a liquid. This whole process is called semen vaporization, which is a normal physiological phenomenon. If the semen is still in a jelly state after more than 30 minutes after being discharged from the body, it is a pathological condition, called sperm liquefaction. The main reasons for semen liquefaction are as follows:

1. Lack of nutrients: If a man's body lacks nutrients such as magnesium and zinc, this is also a key reason for the failure of semen liquefaction.

2. Congenital diseases: Many congenital diseases can cause sperm liquefaction in men. When a patient has congenital prostate deficiency, it will affect the formation of prostate and protein enzymes. Without the catalytic reaction of these substances, semen will not liquefy.

3. Irregular eating, drinking, and living schedules: Due to work reasons, many men’s eating, drinking, and living schedules are irregular. Staying up late for a long time can easily lead to sperm liquefaction and thus male infertility.

4. Infections of male reproductive organs, such as prostatitis, ejaculatory duct infection, etc., can cause male semen to not liquefy.

5. The reason why sperm does not liquefy is related to microbial infection: if various microorganisms such as bacteria and malaria parasites invade the male reproductive tract, it is easy to cause a series of symptoms, one of which is sperm not liquefying.

6. Urine irritation: Urine contains a variety of acidic and alkaline compounds, which can easily cause uric acid in the blood to flow back into the prostate gland, causing chronic prostatitis, and in the long run will also cause sperm liquefaction.

7. Because men's bodies are more likely to lack calcium, selenium and other elements, the quality of sperm is low and the attractiveness is low, which will eventually cause the semen to not liquefy and have no attractiveness.
