Remember "Two Dos and Three Don'ts" when Treating Prostate

Quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption

Clinical studies have shown that nicotine can stimulate excessive secretion of the prostate and induce inflammation. Alcohol can promote capillary dilation, causing congestion and edema of the prostate tissue, causing discomfort. Excessive drinking can also affect testosterone secretion.

Keep your bowel movements smooth

Behind the prostate is the rectum. Under normal circumstances, there is almost no stool in the rectum, but patients with constipation will have residual stool in the rectum. Many bacteria will pass through the rectal mucosa to affect the surrounding organs and also affect the prostate.

Don't eat spicy food

Many active substances in chili peppers can stimulate the prostate, leading to long-term and recurrent congestion, painful ejaculation, burning in the urethra, and difficulty urinating.

Don't sit for long periods of time

Driving, cycling, wearing tight pants, etc. for a long time, like sitting for a long time, will directly compress the prostate and cause congestion of the gland.

Don't hold your urine

The lower part of the male urethra is usually infested with bacteria. These bacteria are flushed away during urination. Frequently holding urine will weaken the flushing effect of urine, causing bacteria to multiply and retrograde to the posterior urethra, which may cause prostatitis.
