Once male friends suffer from urinary stones, they will gradually develop symptoms. The most typical one is that they will feel difficulty urinating every time they go to the toilet, they will have symptoms of urinary pain, and even some secretions will be produced from their urethra. These secretions will make the irritation to their urethra more obvious, so they should drink more water on a regular basis, which can help expel the stones out of the body through urine. 1. Difficulty urinating Stones stuck in the urethra can cause dysuria, thinning or dripping urine stream, and sometimes interruption of urine flow and urinary retention. Complete obstruction will cause acute urinary retention. 2. Pain Sometimes there is obvious pain during urination, which radiates to the glans penis. Posterior urethral stones cause pain in the perineum and scrotum. There is obvious pain and tenderness at the stone site. If there is infection, the local pain will be aggravated, there will be purulent secretions at the urethral opening, and bladder irritation symptoms will be aggravated. 3. Tumor Anterior urethral stones may be found as nodular swellings on the body of the penis, and part of the stone may occasionally be seen exposed at the external urethral orifice. 4. Urethral diverticulum stones The main symptoms of female urethral diverticulum stones are lower urinary tract infection, with frequent urination, urgency, pain during urination, purulent urine and hematuria. Pain during sexual intercourse is a prominent symptom, and sometimes there is urethral purulent discharge. In addition to urethral discharge and urinary pain, male urethral diverticulum stones may also cause a gradually enlarged and harder swelling under the penis, with obvious tenderness but no symptoms of urination obstruction. Some patients can feel a cystic diverticulum that inflates with urination pressure. The treatment of urethral stones should select appropriate methods according to the location of the stones. Different methods are used for stones in different locations. 1. For example, if the stone is located in the fossa navicularis of the urethra, sterile liquid paraffin can be injected into the urethra and then the stone can be pushed out of the urethral opening, or a vascular forceps can be inserted through the urethral opening to remove the stone. 2. For anterior urethral stones, use the penis root block anesthesia to compress the proximal urethra of the stone to prevent the stone from retreating, inject sterile liquid wax, and then gently push it toward the distal end of the urethra, hook or clamp it out. If it is difficult to remove, you can choose to remove it under ureteroscopy. Avoid rough handling and try not to perform urethrotomy to remove the stone to avoid urethral stenosis. 3. For posterior urethral stones, use a urethral probe to gently push the stone into the bladder and then treat it as a bladder stone. |
