What causes white, turbid fluid in male urine?

1) Clear when first discharged, turbid after standing: Normal urine is clear and transparent when fresh, with a light yellow or colorless color. But after urine is left for a short period of time, various salts in the urine (such as uric acid salts, phosphates, carbonates, etc.) will crystallize out, making the lower part of the urine turbid white. This is a physiological phenomenon rather than a pathological one. In another case, the urine is clear when first discharged, and after a little stay, some tiny dark brown sand grains are found at the bottom of the urine. Some people figuratively call it fish roe (egg)-like small sand grains. This is a kind of uric acid crystals, which are often formed by the crystal precipitation of a large amount of uric acid excreted in the urine of people with gout.

2) Discharge turbidity

1. Chylous urine - the urine is milky white like milk, sometimes with small jelly-like clots. This is more common in lymphatic system diseases.

2. Urinary tract infection: When urine is mixed with a large number of white blood cells and inflammatory tissue fragments, the entire urine is dirty white and turbid. This is mostly caused by bacterial infection, often accompanied by more obvious symptoms such as frequent urination, urgency and pain during urination.

3) Urine is clear, but the last few drops are turbid urine. This phenomenon is only seen when men urinate. The bladder muscles contract, especially at the end of urination, which can easily pull or squeeze the prostate and seminal vesicles, so that the secreted prostatic fluid or semen is also squeezed out a little bit. The few drops of turbid liquid after urination are a mixture of urine, prostatic fluid and semen. This phenomenon is mostly physiological, especially after men are excited. But a small part of it is due to inflammation of the prostate or seminal vesicles, which is more easily irritated by bladder contraction and discharges a small amount of secretions. This is pathological and needs further examination and confirmation.
