Symptoms and signs

Frequent urination, burning pain during urination, and hematuria. In the acute phase, men may have urethral discharge, which is mucous at first and then purulent; women have less discharge. When it turns into a chronic condition, it manifests as urethral stinging and discomfort during urination, and urethral discharge decreases to a thin slurry. In an acute attack, there is dull pain in the suprapubic area and perineum, and the urethral opening may be red and have discharge.

Medication

1. Antibiotic application There are many kinds of drugs currently used for treatment. 2-3 drugs should be selected and used in combination according to the type of pathogen and its sensitivity to the drugs. The curative effect is better. The medication should be continued for 7-10 days before stopping after the symptoms disappear completely, the urine test is normal, and the bacterial culture is negative.

2. Auxiliary treatment In the acute stage, you should drink more water to increase urine volume and flush the urethra. If you have frequent urination, urgency and pain, you can take anticonvulsants and remove various inducements that cause urethritis. Urethritis caused by sexually transmitted diseases should be treated at the same time as your spouse, otherwise it will be difficult to cure.

3. Local treatment Applicable to chronic urethritis, contraindicated in acute stage. ① Urethral dilation: It has drainage and massage effects, and can prevent inflammatory urethral stricture. Dilate once a week to F24. ② Intraurethral instillation of drugs: After urethral dilation, 5% to 10% weak protein silver can be instilled into the urethra at low pressure, which has the effect of astringing and reducing inflammation. ③ Endoscopic electrocautery: Applicable when there are ulcers and granulation tissues in the urethra.

Diet and Health

1. Dietary treatment for urethritis:

1. Use 50g of wolfberry, 100g of Poria cocos, and 100g of black tea. Grind wolfberry and Poria cocos into coarse powder, take 5-10g each time, add 6g of black tea, and brew with boiling water for 10 minutes. Drink twice a day instead of tea.

2. Take 50g of red beans and 50g of corn silk, boil them into soup and drink it once a day for 20 days.
