Bacteria in men's urine

Bacteria in men's urine

Everyone urinates every day. Urinating is a metabolic process that discharges the metabolites and excess water produced by the human body every day. Urine tests are also very important in health checks. They can detect whether there are bacteria in the urine, so as to determine whether the human body has any disease. Some people have bacteria in their urine. Is this normal?

Strictly speaking, normal human urine should be sterile. Bacteria will only be detected when there is a urinary tract infection. This is because urine is a metabolic product excreted by the human body. It removes waste from the human body. A large amount of urine is produced every day to flush the urinary tract. At the same time, human excrement itself is sterile.

Urine formation: When blood flows through the glomerulus, uric acid, urea, water, inorganic salts, glucose and other substances in the blood are filtered into the renal vesicles by the filtration of the glomerulus to form primary urine. When urine flows through the renal tubules, all the glucose, most of the water and some inorganic salts in the primary urine that are useful to the human body are reabsorbed by the renal tubules and return to the blood in the capillaries around the renal tubules. After the primary urine is reabsorbed by the renal tubules, the remaining water, inorganic salts, urea and uric acid form urine.

If bacteria are detected in urine, it is possible that the urinary system is infected with bacteria, or there may be errors in the urine sampling process that contaminate the urine sample. If the urine is found to contain bacteria, it should be cleaned and disinfected, and midstream urine should be taken for bacteriological culture. If there is no problem with the collection of urine samples, and the bacterial count reaches a certain amount, it means that there is a high probability of urinary tract infection. At this time, it is best to identify the cultured bacteria and perform drug sensitivity tests, and clinical medication is suggested based on the results of the drug sensitivity test.
