How to block the urethra and hold urine for boys

Urine refers to the urine stored in the human bladder. When it reaches a certain amount, you will easily feel the urge to urinate. Holding urine is also something we need in our daily lives. We hold urine when we have other things to do or when it is inconvenient. It is a very bad practice for men to block the urethra and hold urine. Holding urine for a long time can easily lead to prostatitis or prostate diseases, so men should not hold urine.

How do boys block their urethra and hold urine ?

Men are advised not to hold their urine, as this can easily lead to prostatitis. Urinate as much as possible when you feel the urge.

Urine is one of the waste products produced by human metabolism. It is 95% to 97% water and 3% to 5% solid matter. Solid matter mainly includes electrolytes and non-protein nitrogen. Among electrolytes, chlorine, sodium and potassium are the most abundant ions; urea is the most abundant non-protein nitrogen compound. These chemical elements are not usable by the human body. Urine is produced in the kidneys and stored in the bladder. After the substances are decomposed and metabolized in the body, the end products produced by various tissues are successively collected in the blood and excreted from the body as the blood flows through various excretory organs.

When blood flows through the kidneys, the kidneys inject it into the bladder through the ureters in the form of urine, and then it is excreted from the body. When a normal person urinates, it is not urgent or frequent, and there is no pain or itching. After urinating, there is a comfortable and relaxed feeling. 1000 to 2000 ml of urine is discharged every day and night. The capacity of the bladder to store urine has a certain limit. When the urine volume in the bladder of a normal adult reaches 150 to 250 ml, they begin to feel the urge to urinate; when the urine volume reaches 250 to 450 ml, urination activity is triggered. At this time, the bladder does not feel uncomfortable, so physiology calls this number "physiological bladder capacity."

Normally, once the urine in the bladder exceeds this physiological capacity, the pressure in the bladder will increase, the bladder wall will expand, and the abdomen will feel bloated and uncomfortable, and even painful and upset. Therefore, most people can control urination within this physiological capacity. The so-called "holding urine" means that the urine stored in the bladder exceeds the "physiological capacity of the bladder", but people consciously hold it back and do not urinate.

Harm

A more serious harm of holding urine is that long-term holding urine can cause urine and/or bacteria in the bladder to flow back into the renal pelvis, causing reflux nephropathy and/or pyelonephritis. Over time, this can lead to damage to the renal structure and even renal failure, especially in children.

Holding urine for a long time is bad for health and can lead to urinary system diseases. Everyone has had the experience of holding urine. Some people can't let go of their personal hobbies, and some people are unwilling to leave the "battlefield" in order to play cards or chess. However, it is very bad for health if you can't urinate in time when you have the "urge to urinate". As the saying goes, "running water is not rotten". Normal urination can not only excrete metabolic products in the body, but also has a self-cleaning effect on the urinary system. When holding urine, the bladder swells, the blood vessels in the bladder wall are compressed, the bladder mucosa is ischemic, and the resistance is reduced. Bacteria will take advantage of the opportunity to enter and grow and reproduce. Not only is it easy to cause urinary system diseases such as cystitis and urethritis, but in severe cases, it will also affect kidney function.

Holding urine can also cause physical and psychological tension, causing high blood pressure in patients with hypertension, arrhythmias in patients with coronary heart disease, and even angina, which is like pouring fuel on the fire for elderly people who already have cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Prostate hypertrophy is a common disease among the elderly. If you hold urine for a long time, the already enlarged prostate will be even more miserable.

In addition, holding urine will prevent toxic substances in urine from being excreted in time, prolonging the effect of carcinogens in urine on the bladder, and easily induce bladder cancer. According to a research report by American scientists, people who have the habit of holding urine are 3 to 5 times more likely to develop bladder cancer than the average person. Therefore, holding urine is a very bad habit, and the elderly should develop the habit of urinating on time.

Holding urine is not good... Many people have the habit of holding urine, because holding it for a while will not cause immediate harm to the body, most people do not pay special attention to it, and sometimes people do not hold urine voluntarily. The most common thing is when you are out and about, many public toilets have poor hygiene quality and a foul odor that often makes people stay away, or we often see long queues outside public toilets for women. Some people simply give up queuing and use their "holding" skills until they get home, sit on the toilet, and are about to defecate, only then they feel a slight bloating and pain in the lower abdomen and a burning sensation at the urethra.
