What to do if a man has an enlarged prostate

Prostate enlargement is a male disease in the middle-aged and elderly. It is still very common among men over 50 years old. Because of shame, although it is a common and easily treatable disease, it has caused great harm to many male patients. To find out what to do if you have an enlarged prostate, you must first understand the cause of the enlarged prostate, and then symptomatic treatment can achieve good results.

1What are the types of prostate hyperplasia glandular masses?

What are the types of prostate hyperplasia glandular masses? Prostate hyperplasia is one of the most common prostate diseases in men. If patients with prostate hyperplasia are not treated promptly, they may develop symptoms such as urinary retention, urinary tract infection, bladder diverticulum, stones, hydronephrosis, hematuria, and renal failure.

What are the types of prostate glandular masses?

1. Lateral, middle and anterior lobes: This is exactly like type 3, because the anterior lobe of the male prostate is hypertrophic, so that the hypertrophic glandular tissue is combined into a detailed ring; it includes both lateral lobes, middle and anterior lobes, but because the anterior lobe itself is small and the hypertrophic glandular tissue is very limited, the vast majority of the mass still comes from the lateral lobes and middle lobes.

2. Bilateral lobe type: The glands on both sides are enlarged and protruding, squeezing the urethral opening toward the center. If the two lobes are thick and symmetrical, the urethral opening will not be bent significantly. The key to urinary obstruction is the result of squeezing both sides.

3. Lateral and mid-stage type: Both of the above conditions are present. Urinary symptoms occur earlier, the impact is more serious, and it is often difficult to insert a catheter.

4. Subcervical lobe type: The urethral gland duct is hypertrophied and often presents as small nodules, which are scattered in the bladder and neck. They can exist independently or in combination with the above types.

5. Mid-stage: The prostate gland hypertrophies in the mid-stage, protruding from the back of the bladder neck to the inside of the bladder, pressing the urethra forward and causing it to bend and increase, which can easily cause urination obstruction. A retroprostatic depression is formed behind the hypertrophic gland duct and into the bladder, and a lot of residual urine can occur in the early stage.

2What should men do if their prostate volume is slightly larger?

Most of the causes of prostate enlargement are closely related to an unhealthy lifestyle. Long-term urine retention and sexual problems, especially masturbation and excessive sexual intercourse, can cause prostate enlargement. Inattentive diet, habitual eating of spicy foods, smoking and drinking can also affect the male prostate.

We know the reasons for an enlarged prostate, but what should we do if we have an enlarged prostate? This has always been a question that male friends are more confused about. Read on.

1. Drug injection: insert a specially made balloon catheter through the urethra, introduce sterile saline into the male prostate urethra opening and extract it several times to absorb the purulent secretions, and then introduce antibiotics, once a week. 2. Urethral dilation: for those with urethral stenosis or obstruction, regular urination is convenient for metabolism, and when the bougie passes through the urethral opening, it can lengthen the male prostate opening, which is beneficial to the glandular duct drainage method.

3Male prostate peripheral closure

4 General treatment: Improve self-confidence, eliminate mental worries, control sexual desire, but it is not suitable to force abstinence. It is advisable to quit smoking, drinking and eating irritating foods, take a hot water bath once a night, local acupuncture and physiotherapy, and change the significant causative factors in daily life such as avoiding long-term cycling.

5. Massage the prostate: Regularly massage the prostate to promote the discharge of prostatitis secretions. Do it once a week. At the same time, you can also conduct routine semen examinations to evaluate the treatment effect.

6. Antibacterial drugs: General antibacterial drugs are not easy to enter the male prostate tissue, which is one of the reasons why clinical treatment is difficult. 2~3 kinds of antibacterial drugs can be used together, or selectively used according to the results of seminal intestinal pathogens and drug sensitivity tests.

If you have an enlarged prostate, you must follow the above methods to treat it. If you don't see a doctor, an enlarged prostate is not an incurable disease. It is just like a cold. It is a minor problem. Don't go without treatment because you feel embarrassed and regret it until it causes greater harm.
