Friction of the glans causes blistering

Friction of the glans causes blistering

The glans penis is a very important part. Frequent friction or inappropriate clothing may lead to inflammation and infection. This is because the skin of the glans penis is very sensitive, tender, and fragile. Inflammation over a long period of time may cause localized inflammation. Therefore, patients need to choose appropriate methods for treatment and conditioning based on their physical condition, and they also need to understand the symptoms and causes.

Clinical manifestations

In the early stage of glans phimitis, the glans and foreskin surface are edematous and congested, the area around the urethral opening is red, and wounds and erosions appear. It may develop into superficial ulcers, with purulent secretions flowing out. The patient will feel itching or burning in the glans penis, followed by pain. After erosion, pus may flow out with a foul odor. In severe cases, there will also be fatigue, low fever, enlarged and tender inguinal lymph nodes.

Causes

(1) Acute superficial balanoposthitis is characterized by local redness at the onset, redness and swelling of the penis skin, and a burning and itching sensation at the glans. When the foreskin is turned back, the inner surface of the foreskin and the glans can be seen to be congested and eroded, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers can be seen, with foul-smelling milky white purulent secretions. If rubbed against underwear, it will be painful, and the patient often has difficulty in moving. It may be accompanied by enlargement and tenderness of the inguinal lymph nodes.

(2) Annular ulcerated balanoposthitis: Red spots can be seen on the glans and foreskin. They gradually expand and become ring-shaped, and may form superficial ulcers.

(3) Candida albicans balanitis: Red spots can be seen on the foreskin and glans, with a smooth surface and small blisters. The edges of the red spots are clear, and there are erosions and exudates during acute attacks. Candida albicans balanitis is also contagious.

(4) Trichomonas phimosis: papules and erythema appear on the glans, which gradually expand and have clear edges. Small blisters the size of a needle can be seen on the erythema, and finally an erosive surface is formed.
