Male ureteral stenosis

Male ureteral stenosis

Generally speaking, the presence of three ureteral stenoses in men is very harmful to human health, so relevant examinations and treatments are needed in time. Patients must drink more water and urinate more frequently to promote the body's metabolism, especially to play a certain auxiliary role in the urinary system. So what exactly are the three ureteral stenoses in men? The following introduces the three ureteral stenoses in men.

The first stricture is at the junction of the renal pelvis and ureter, the second stricture is at the crossing of the iliac vessels, and the third stricture is at the penetration of the bladder wall.

Causes of ureteral stenosis symptoms

1. Congenital ureteral stenosis

Congenital ureteral stenosis often occurs at the junction of the ureteropelvic stenosis, and a small number of stenosis segments occur in the middle section of the ureter. Hyperplasia and hypertrophy of the ureteral muscle layer above the stenosis can be seen.

2. Secondary ureteral stenosis

Secondary ureteral stenosis is caused by long-term stimulation of the ureteral mucosa by various infections (including tuberculosis) and stones, resulting in fibrous tissue proliferation and adhesion. It often occurs in the three physiological ureteral stenosis and the compression and pulling sites of extraureteral lesions.

As the saying goes: running water is not stale. Ureteral stenosis causes poor urine flow, which can easily lead to urinary tract infection and urinary tract stones. Complete ureteral stenosis can cause severe hydronephrosis due to blocking urine flow, while incomplete ureteral stenosis can also cause serious damage to kidney function due to slowing down urine excretion.

Will ureteral stenosis definitely cause hematuria?

Ureteral stenosis includes congenital ureteropelvic junction stenosis, inflammatory stenosis and post-operative stenosis, and the symptoms and prognosis are different.

Congenital ureteropelvic stenosis is common in children and usually only causes hydronephrosis. In particular, the more severe the ureteral stenosis is and the closer it is to the kidney, the earlier and more severe the damage to the kidney will appear, and it will eventually lead to loss of kidney function. However, this type of ureteral stenosis generally does not cause hematuria.

Stenosis caused by inflammation or postoperative injury can cause hematuria. As a consequence of inflammation or postoperative injury, the ureter is damaged and becomes fragile or damaged, which can lead to hematuria.

If you find that you have blood in your urine, you must see a doctor immediately to finally determine the cause. Don't be careless.

Ureteral stenosis has many harmful effects, which seriously affect the daily life of patients. The main manifestations are as follows:

1. Causes painful urination

Due to the narrowness of the ureter, urine cannot be discharged smoothly, squeezing the ureter and causing pain.

2. Cause complications

If ureteral stenosis is not treated in time, it will cause many complications such as hydronephrosis and renal failure, causing serious harm to the body.

3. Bear psychological pressure

Due to the particularity of urinary system diseases, many people are embarrassed to seek medical treatment in the early stages of the disease, which not only affects the treatment of the disease, but also causes tremendous psychological pressure and causes psychological problems.
