Why do you sweat after drinking water? See if you are suffering from pathological or physiological reasons!

Sweating is a very normal physical phenomenon. When people exercise a lot or the weather is hot, they will sweat a lot. This is because the body uses sweating to lower the body temperature, so there is no need to worry too much. But sometimes sweating a lot is not a good thing, it may be due to pathological reasons. What is the reason for sweating after drinking water?

Sweating can be divided into physiological and pathological

Sweating in hot weather or during strenuous exercise is mostly a physiological phenomenon.

There are two most common pathological causes of excessive sweating: one is occult sweating, which occurs when you sweat unconsciously during sleep at night; the other is spontaneous sweating, which occurs during the day without sweating due to labor, thick clothes or heat, or sweating profusely after a little exercise.

The main cause of spontaneous sweating is physical weakness or after a serious illness.

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is caused by "lung qi deficiency and weak Wei Yang". The treatment should be based on the principle of "tonifying the lung and replenishing qi, consolidating the exterior and nourishing yin". You can choose to take Buzhong Yiqi Pills, Shengmai Drink to nourish the earth and produce gold, replenish qi and stop sweating, or chew American ginseng, ginseng, etc. You can also choose Shengmai Powder and Yupingfeng Pills with modifications.

Sweat gland secretion is closely related to exercise intensity

The general rule is that the greater the intensity of exercise, the more you sweat. This is because as the intensity of exercise increases, muscle activity becomes more intense, producing more heat. In order to maintain a normal body temperature, the human body must increase sweating to dissipate the excess heat. Therefore, the greater the intensity of exercise, the more sweat you will inevitably excrete.

The amount of sweating is first related to individual differences.

As we all know, sweat comes from the secretion of sweat glands, and the number of sweat glands is extremely large. Millions of sweat glands can be roughly divided into two categories: one is small sweat glands, which are widely distributed under the skin of the whole body, with an average of about 300 per square centimeter, and a total of about 2.3 million in the whole body. When exercising or the temperature of the external environment rises, the human body mainly relies on this type of sweat glands to sweat, and physiologists call this type of sweating thermal sweating. The other type is large sweat glands, which are distributed under the skin of the armpits, nipples, vulva and other parts. When a person is frightened, excited or humiliated, it is mainly this type of gland that sweats, and physiologists call this type of sweating neurological sweating. Physiological studies have found that the number of small and large glands not only differs by gender, but also by individual. Therefore, under the same conditions, some people sweat more and some sweat less. In addition, individual differences are also reflected in the amount of body fluid. Some people have more body fluid, so they sweat more during exercise; some people have less body fluid, so they sweat less during exercise. The amount of body fluid often depends on the body fat content. Because the water content in fat tissue is relatively low, fat people have less body fluid than thin people. Although fat people sweat more during exercise, their ability to tolerate water loss is relatively poor. In other words, if the exercise time is not long, fat people will become tired prematurely due to water-salt metabolism disorders. Whether or not to drink water before exercise also affects body fluid. If you drink a lot of water before exercise, the amount of sweat will increase due to the increase in body fluid.
