What causes testicular pain?

The testicles are where sperm is produced. Many men experience testicular pain. The pain is very difficult to describe. Severe cases may even affect their daily lives due to testicular pain. 1. Testicular torsion: It usually occurs a few hours after strenuous exercise or because the testicles have been subjected to external force. Severe testicular pain occurs suddenly during sleep or rest. This is the first symptom of the disease and is also one of the main diagnostic bases for testicular torsion. Some patients also have scrotal swelling, nausea and vomiting, and obvious tenderness.

2. Testicular ischemic pain: The symptoms of testicular ischemic pain are more common in the elderly. The pain is more severe, aggravated during activities, and appropriately relieved during rest. Prostatic fluid microscopy is normal. It is often caused by sclerosis of the testicular arteries leading to arterial stenosis.

3. Orchitis: There are many factors that cause orchitis. For example, patients with mumps may suffer from orchitis, testicular pain and swelling. Gonorrhea is the sexually transmitted disease with the highest incidence rate. In severe cases, it can cause orchitis. Chronic prostatitis can also cause testicular pain, which manifests as unilateral pain, mostly dull pain or pulling pain, and is persistent. Orchitis is more common in young people and rare in the elderly.

4. Testicular injury: Testicular injury is mostly related to violence, car accidents, etc. After the injury, the patient will experience severe testicular pain accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and even fainting or shock.

In fact, there are many reasons that cause testicular pain in men. You can check whether you have the bad habits mentioned above in your daily life, and compare your condition with the above symptoms. Of course, the specific reason for testicular pain should be based on what the doctor says.
