The efficacy of loofah

Luffa is cold in nature and sweet in taste. It has the functions of clearing away heat, detoxifying, promoting blood circulation and dredging the meridians. It is a daily vegetable in summer. "Compendium of Materia Medica" says that it can "open up the meridians and internal organs, dispel wind and detoxify, eliminate swelling and resolve phlegm". It is also believed that washing the face can "greatly remove dirt and grease". Modern pharmacological research shows that luffa juice contains a large amount of vitamin B1 which can prevent skin aging and vitamin C which can make the skin white and tender. When combined with pig liver which has the function of replenishing blood, it can become a soup, which can clear away heat and toxins and cleanse the skin, nourish blood and yin and moisturize the skin, and also make the face rosy.
